Your Own Label, Woven Neck Labels and Swing Tags
This is the difference between a printed blank and a real brand. Print on demand sends your customer a garment with somebody else’s name in the neck. Own label production puts yours there instead.
Relabelling is one of the things we do most. As a UK private label and own label clothing manufacturer, we take the blanks you have chosen, strip the original branding out of them and finish them as your product, in Bradford.
Brand label application is included on both The Launch and The Full Brand Build.
Neck label relabelling
We remove the blank supplier’s neck label and replace it with yours. This is the single change that stops a garment reading as somebody else’s product with your print on it, and it is the thing customers notice when they try it on.
Woven brand labels
Your own woven label applied in the neck, at the hem or inside a seam. If you have not had labels made before, we will talk you through the sizes, the fixing method and what actually works on the garment you have chosen.
Printed care labels
Wash and composition labels applied alongside your brand label, so the garment is finished the way a retailer expects to receive it rather than looking like a decorated blank.
Swing tags and swing tickets
The tag on the garment when it reaches the customer. It carries your name, your sizing and your price, and it is the cheapest part of the whole job that makes the biggest difference to how finished the product looks.
Packaging and finishing
Folded, tagged, bagged and boxed to retail standard, ready to sell or ready to ship. Included on the Full Brand Build alongside packaging and brand label guidance.

The person behind your brand launch.
I’m Baljit Rai. I started working in a Bradford embroidery factory at 13 years old in 1994. Three decades later I run my own, BR Apparel Ltd, right here in Bradford.
I have spent three decades in the textile and garment industry. I know what it takes to get a clothing brand from idea to first sale because I have done it myself and helped others do it too.
When you work with BR Apparel Launch Studio you are not working with a faceless factory or an online order form. You are working directly with me. My experience. My supply chain. My machines. My network.

Starting a Clothing Brand: Common Questions
- It depends on how far you want to go in one step. Our Launch Studio packages start at £997 plus VAT for a brand consultation, your logo digitised and six sample garments in your chosen style and colourway. Going all the way to a first production run, your own labels, photography and a website to sell from sits at the top of our range. Anyone quoting a single fixed figure without knowing your garment, your quantities and how it is decorated is guessing.
- We work to low minimums on purpose, because a new brand should not have to buy thousands of units to find out whether it sells. Production runs start at 50 garments and go up to 50,000. Before that, you can order samples on their own, which is where we would tell almost anyone to start.
- Yes, and we would encourage it. The Spark package is six sample garments in your chosen style and colourway, with a two week turnaround from consultation to samples in your hands. Holding the actual garment tells you things a screen never will: the weight of the fabric, how it fits, and whether your branding sits where you pictured it.
- Yes. Heavyweight and oversized blanks are what most new streetwear labels want, and we can supply, relabel and decorate them as your own brand. We will get samples in front of you in a couple of different weights first, because the difference between a lighter tee and a heavyweight one is the thing that decides how premium the finished product feels.
- Yes. We remove the blank supplier’s neck label and apply your own woven brand label, printed care labels and swing tags, so the finished garment is unmistakably yours rather than a branded blank. Brand label application is included on both The Launch and The Full Brand Build packages.
- Everything is produced in West Yorkshire. Embroidery runs on our own Tajima machines in the Bradford unit and DTF is produced in house, while larger and multi-colour screen print goes through our long-standing Bradford print partner. Your e-commerce site, social and influencer marketing and pop up shop access are delivered through our partners, managed by us so you deal with one point of contact.
